ICTC - FIT Program
The Focus on Information Technology (FIT) program is innovative learning designed to jump-start careers in Canada's stimulating world of IT.
Developed by the Information and Communications Technology Council (ICTC), FIT prepares secondary school students with technical, business and essential transferable skills, including industry-recognized certifications. Because it emphasizes technical IT skills and essential skills, FIT gives secondary school graduates a head start to their post-secondary education.
Upon graduation FIT students have a secondary school diploma, combined with:
- Business/entrepreneurial expertise
- Work experience
- Advanced standing and/or credit toward post-secondary programs
Students may also achieve:
- A+ and Network+ certifications recognized by industry
- Database technology skills
- Privacy and security networking expertise
- National certification / recognition
FIT gives secondary school graduates an educational advantage that can lead to challenging and rewarding careers in IT. Visit the Career Pathways section of the ICTC website at www.ictc-ctic.ca and check out the DiscoverIT Website and Uni-search-ITy Website.
